Yetty Komalasari Dewi is the Head of Academic Quality Assurance Unit, Faculty of Law, UI. Previously, she held the position as the Head of International Undergraduate Program and the Head of Doctoral Program, Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia.
Yetty became a full-time lecturer at FHUI since 2000 as the assistant lecturer of Trade/Commercial Law course. At present, she is in charge for number of courses namely Investment Law, (Commercial) Arbitration, International Arbitration, Companies/Corporate Law, and International Trade Law, both in undergraduate and graduate levels. Yetty also became a part time lecturer at the Master Programme on Public Policy at the Faculty of Economy and Business Universitas Indonesia. In January 2016, she was an Exchange Professor at Kumamoto University, Japan.
Other than teaching, Yetty is actively involved in research activities funded by among others Universitas Indonesia-Ministry of Higher Education, Bank Indonesia, Indonesia’s Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Ministry of Industrial Affairs, Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Regional Representative Council (DPD), and National Nuclear Energy Agency (BAPETEN). Her research includes a KPK-funded research on the transparency of Beneficial Ownership and a BKPM-funded research on Review on Agreements on the Development of and Protection towards Investment.
Yetty is one of the Subject Editors of Asian Journal of Comparative Law (AsJCL) published by National University of Singapore. Moreover, Yetty publishes articles and books as well. Her articles and books include Perkembangan Hukum Dagang di Indonesia (book), Kesiapan Indonesia Dalam Menghadapi Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN 2015 (article), and Pencantuman Klausula Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) Dalam International Investment Agreements (IIAs)/Bilateral Investment Treaties (BITs) [book chapter, Erman Rajagukguk].
As a speaker, Yetty is actively attend and involved in both national and international level of academic forums such as International Conference on International Law Society and Asian Researcher Symposium (APRISH). She attended Asian Law Institute Conference (ASLI Conference) in China, Japan, India, Taiwan, and the Phillippines. She presented her co-authored paper at the IUCNAEL Colloquium: The Environment in Court di University of Oslo, 2016.
Last but not least, as for her community engagement services, Yetty was a member of drafting team in several legal drafting projects namely Academic Team for the Limitation of Cash Transaction 2015-2016 and Legal Drafting Team for the draft law on Limitation of Cash Transaction 2016-2017 as well as Legal Drafting Team of Corporations, National Legal Development Agency, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Republic of Indonesia, 2017.
